Week 2 Technology Review-Classroom Management tools

For this post, I am choosing to look into the Classroom management application called Classroom Dojo. This application can be used on a computer, phone or tablet.

Classroom Dojo is specifically designed for classroom management and works well with a school/classroom PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) system. To break it all down, PBIS is a tier 1 intervention in a school. It is a system that is applied to all students school wide. This intervention system is serves as a base for enforcing/supporting school-wide rules. As rules are followed, the PBIS system allows for rewards for those who adhere.

The Classroom Dojo application helps to track the positive behavior in any class. Through the application, the teacher creates a profile for each student and can add points, or take them away depending on the student behavior. It can be used in any class, and by all teachers in support of positive behavior.

I have seen this tool used in multiple schools and classrooms. It can really help develop a relationship with students using positive behavior and rewards for the students in a class.
