In a world a information sharing and digital content, pinterest is a site that brings many of the best elements of social networking, idea sharing and information together. Pinterest, a digital pin board for ideas take sharing thoughts and ideas to another level. On pinterest, a user can follow pins that are related to many interest. Users can share original information, and pins. Much of the information is linked to websites.
This site is a great tool for exploring different topics and ideas both as a teacher/librarian and a student (especially in high school). I enjoy how the images can be linked to different sites. This can serve as a great tool for researching sites, and evaluating different web sources. A benefit, I believe is the use of the images and labels/tags. Through suggested tags, students can be guided in a search, and still have experience using this social tool.
